Over the past week, Kilwex proudly supported the CIF Safety Campaign 2025, which this year focuses on going “Back to Basics.”
Throughout the campaign, we’re reinforcing how we manage key industry risks — from excavations and mobile plant, to hazardous substances and working at height — across all our sites.
Here’s a look at some of the great initiatives held across our projects last week.
HammerTech Lunch & Learn – Our teams joined Brad Helme from HammerTech for a lunchtime session (and pizza!) discussing how digital safety systems are improving efficiency and compliance on site.
Respiratory Protection & Face Fit Testing – Conor from Amon Electronics delivered an excellent session at Dublin Port on safe RPE use, followed by individual mask fit testing.
Cairde Mental Health Workshop – At Coolnabacky, we welcomed Josephine Rigney, HSE Resource Officer for Suicide Prevention, for an important talk on mental fitness, resilience, and supporting men’s mental health.
Safety & Inclusion of Older Workers Workshop – A valuable discussion on recognising and managing risks as the workforce ages, and how we can build more inclusive and supportive work environments.
Leadership Safety Tours – Our Managing Director and SHEQ team visited all Kilwex sites to engage directly with crews and reinforce the shared responsibility we all have in maintaining a strong safety culture.
Dublin Port Safety Advisors Meet & Greet – An excellent initiative bringing together safety professionals across companies in Dublin Port to share knowledge and best practice.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make Week 1 a success.
Together, we Commit to Safety — every site, every day.
