The project involved 1800mm diameter concrete surface water drainage pipework using tunnelling and pipe-jacking methodologies. Large, reinforced concrete manholes were constructed on new and existing lines at depths of 7 metres. The work also included the installation of surface water flow control devices (hydro-brakes, penstocks) in new manholes. Diversions of high voltage power lines, gas mains, water and telecommunication services were also required.
