Kilwex has been awarded this major civil infrastructural project at Dublin Port, with site work commencing in January 2019. Contract programme is 22 months. The project comprises demolition of redundant buildings, site clearance, bored and sheet piling, construction of fencing and boundary walls, drainage and other services, earthworks, new and upgraded road construction (circa 50,000m2), laying of kerbs, foot-ways and cycleways, gantry and underpass construction, public lighting, traffic signals and landscaping. When completed, the new infrastructure will provide significant increased capacity for traffic entering and exiting Dublin Port.
As much of the work takes place on the primary road network of a port experiencing annual compounding growth in business activity, programme, traffic management, liaison with client stakeholders and utility providers will form key components of successful delivery. This is the fourth significant infrastructure contract at Dublin Port with which Kilwex has been favoured since 2015 and its management and workforce are again focused on delivering a product of the highest QEHS standards to Dublin Port Company.
